Braintree Town Hall Wedding Photographer | Lisa & Ben’s Intimate Wedding

Braintree Town Hall is a relatively new wedding venue for us and it’s already becoming one of our favourites. With more couples choosing smaller, more intimate weddings, we think we’ll be photographing plenty more Braintree Town Hall weddings.

Located right in the heart of Braintree town centre, the Town Hall has an impressive facade that immediately catches your eye. But it’s once you step inside, that you really appreciate what makes this such a lovely wedding venue and such a great place to photograph a wedding.

A Beautiful Braintree Wedding Venue

One of our favourite features of Braintree Town Hall is the grand sweeping staircase. It provides a fantastic backdrop for wedding photographs, particularly those moments when newly-weds make their way back down the stairs together after their ceremony.

Inside, the wood-panelled rooms create a warm and intimate atmosphere, while the large floor-to-ceiling windows allow beautiful natural light to flood into the rooms.

We love venues that offer plenty of opportunities to create natural, timeless photographs without everything feeling overly staged. The Town Hall certainly delivers!

Getting Ready at Braintree Town Hall

There’s also a smaller room available for getting ready. This gives couples the opportunity to have a few photographs taken before the ceremony. We particularly love the full-length mirror in the room. Mirrors can be brilliant for creating some beautiful portraits. It can capture a quiet moment of reflection before the ceremony or a creative portrait using the room’s natural light.


Wedding Group Photos at Braintree Town Hall

Braintree Town Hall is right in the centre of town yet there’s a lovely space tucked away at the rear of the building. The courtyard is a public space, but it feels surprisingly quiet and private. It’s a great place to gather your closest family and friends for a few photographs without having to venture far from the ceremony.

You can have those important family photographs taken quickly and naturally, leaving more time to enjoy your celebration and each other!

Lisa & Ben’s Intimate Wedding at Braintree Town Hall

Lisa and Ben, the stars of this blog, chose Braintree Town Hall for their intimate wedding celebration. Their plans were a perfect example of why we love photographing smaller weddings. There was no need for a huge guest list. Instead, their focus was on getting married and celebrating with the people closest to them.
