Another autumn wedding and this time we had the opportunity to take some lovely Hylands House wedding photographs.
We love shooting weddings at Hylands House in Chelmsford, Essex. As one of the venue’s recommended suppliers, we are lucky enough to regularly photograph weddings there.
There are so many options for photographs at this venue and we are always spoilt for choice.
We met Hayley and Mark prior to their big day for their pre wedding shoot at Hylands House. We try to do this with all our couples. It’s a great way of catching up again, hearing how the planning has been going as well as discussing photography for the day.
We discussed plans to take many of the group photographs inside this beautiful house as Hayley and Mark’s wedding was in November. This would allow us to use the magnificent staircase.
On the big day the sun shone brightly and the sky was blue, so Hayley and Mark were really keen to take advantage of the beautiful weather. Our experience allows us to be able to quickly change plans and we were more than happy to go outside for all the group photographs.
We made use of the spectacular white facade for photographs of Hayley & Mark. The dark blue autumn skies and the low sun bouncing off the striking white pillars of the house created some stunning images. In fact some of these Hylands House wedding photographs have an almost Mediterranean feel. You would never guess it is an Essex wedding in November!
Hayley is a professional cyclist and admits to spending most of her time in trainers and sports gear. But for her wedding day she was making the most of her big day. Hayley chose a bridal dress from Spain, whilst Hetty Rose Shoes designed and hand made her bespoke wedding shoes.
During our pre wedding shoot we always make time for a chat over coffee. We love to hear all about the details of the day. It was during this meeting that Hayley told us about her unique shoes. We made sure we got lots of photographs of them. Hetty Rose Shoes also used some of the fabric from the bride’s shoes for the groom’s handkerchief. This handkerchief was perfect for photographing the wedding rings on. Bringing all those little details together that have taken so much thought and planning is an important part of our storytelling. Discussing all those ‘little details’ means a pre-wedding meeting is so worthwhile for everyone and we won’t miss a thing!
Below are some of our favourite of Hayley & Mark’s Hylands House wedding photographs. We hope you enjoy them and please feel free to leave any comments.
