So here we are, officially launching our blog! We decided that although we are now in February our introductory blog should be a selection of our favourite wedding images from 2016.
What a fun and busy year it was. We were lucky enough to meet some super couples and attend some fabulous weddings.
Returning to some of our favourite venues as well as visiting new venues for the first time, 2016 was another year full of variety.
As recommended photographers at Hylands House in Chelmsford several of our favourite wedding images of 2016 were shot here.
It was at a Hylands House wedding that we met our first wedding dog. A handsome hound, named Basil, who was a seriously photogenic model. He obviously had to be amongst our favourite images of 2016.
Another venue return was to Leez Priory. Bright pink matching socks for all the groomsmen had to be photographed. The young rock star boys boogieing on the manicured lawn. And who could forget the leaping groom at the start of their first dance?
We also travelled to Oxfordshire to photograph an amazing wedding with possibly the smiliest bride ever. Ardington House is a stunning country house set in beautiful grounds and the bride got her dream of marrying on an island.
We love capturing natural candid moments so of course many reportage style pictures are amongst our favourite wedding images of 2016. The nervous groom just seconds before his bride makes her entrance. A bride and the top table all belly laughing during the best man’s speech. A guest completely over excited that she has caught the bride’s bouquet.
We all know that there’s nothing anyone can do about the weather but understandably couples frequently stress about it on their big day. Sometimes the adverse weather conditions can make a moment. Our picture of the bride arriving at church sheltering under an array of umbrellas held by her brother, sister and father, all with grins on their faces, is a memory that will last forever.
Finally we must mention the beautiful romantic shots our wonderful couples help us achieve. We are truly grateful to all our couples for putting their trust in us. It is our willing couples who brave the darkness so we can capture those twilight shots or an eye catching silhouette against a dramatic sunset. There’s also the couple who even factored a stop at the beach into their wedding day. The rugged Essex coastline created a stunning backdrop. All of these shots would not be possible without the trust and belief of our couples.
So please have a look through our favourite images of 2016 and feel free to leave a comment. We look forward to blogging again and hope you stop by again soon.
