Suzy & Dan’s Rayleigh wedding was a day full of sunshine, smiles and laughter. Suzy was a such a happy happy bride. From meeting her in the morning whilst her hair and make up was being done until those wonderful sunset shots out on the golf course at twilight her smile didn’t waver. Her excitement was infectious. It was such a joy to be able to share and document her and Dan’s very special day.
Their ceremony was at The Holy Trinity Church, a traditional church in Rayleigh town centre, where the couple both grew up. The church has a lovely old lychgate. Here the guests were able to throw confetti before the married couple headed to their reception. We do love confetti, always such a joyful picture that guarantees natural spontaneous laughter and smiles.
Their reception was held at The Rayleigh Club, a golf course set in the Essex countryside just a short 5 minute drive from the town centre church.
We hadn’t shot at this particular venue before but had met Suzy & Dan there for their pre wedding shoot. We found some great locations and the golf course made a really quite spectacular backdrop. There are long sweeping greens, rounded hilltops, winding paths and a beautiful weeping willow. All great for our style of photography. Those huge empty skies were perfect too. We were able to capture the bright blue skies of the day as well as the golden light of twilight followed by the dramatic pink sunsets into the late evening.
