Grace and Tuki’s laid back wedding has it all. With a traditional Catholic Church ceremony to an informal relaxed evening reception. The couple wanted a fun relaxed wedding for all their family and friends to enjoy and they certainly put on a party.
Grace & her bridesmaid cousin first met us at an open day at The Compasses at Pattiswick. We are proud to be recommended suppliers at this intimate venue. We love working at this wedding venue. The team create a perfect relaxed atmosphere and their ethos of creating bespoke unique wedding days shines through. Their style of venue works perfectly with our relaxed calm approach and natural style of photography.
From the outset we were both really excited hearing all about their plans. It sounded like it was going to be such a cool wedding. So when we received a call from Grace, whilst we were digging sandcastles with our sons on a wild North Norfolk beach I might add, we were over the moon to hear they wanted us to document their big day!
The couple had lots of creative ideas of how they wanted their wedding day to be. The wedding breakfast was an informal BBQ and guests were allowed to choose seats without any formal seating plan. It was important to them that the day included lots of personal touches. Lots of Fijian elements were included, to acknowledge Tuki’s roots. Fijian fans and eye catching lush green palms decorated both the church and venue. The couple also avoided a traditional wedding cake favouring a wedding jelly flavoured with Gin & Tonic to reflect the couple’s initials, G&T!
Most importantly they wanted a relaxed laidback wedding and the style of photography had to reflect this. They wanted our photography to be a documentary style and were really very keen not to get involved with lots of posed shots. We love this style of photography and were able to capture so many great moments.
From jelly cutting to a very competitive game of beer pong late into the evening there were lots of great moments for us to capture.
