We’re extremely lucky here in Essex to have so many beautiful wedding venues. Leez Priory has to be one of our favourites so we’ve put together a selection of photos from a summer wedding at Leez Priory to showcase just how amazing the place is!
We are fortunate enough to have worked at Leez Priory many times but we just had to share Alice & Sam’s summer wedding as they really are the sweetest of couples.
We love working at Leez Priory because there are opportunities for photographs everywhere you look. Leez Priory really is a photographer’s dream. The beautiful Tudor manor house with its historic tower and ancient oak doors makes the perfect backdrop and the stunning gardens and grounds are also great settings.
The sweeping driveway at the front of the main house was the perfect place to gather all the guests for some very special and unique confetti. If you scroll through our photographs below, you may spot paper aeroplanes flying through the air amongst the more traditional flower petals. Can anyone guess what Sam, the groom’s, job is?
We always recommend that our couples have a few ‘formal’ group shots and we decided to organise these under The Great Tower. This shady spot was ideal because it was such a bright and hot summer’s day.
The lush green manicured lawns were the perfect setting for lawn games. We witnessed some very competitive rounds of mini-golf and croquet. This was lots of fun and was perfect for some photos too!
The wedding breakfast was served in The Coach House, a space full of rustic charm. The incredibly creative bride, Alice, designed the table decorations and drew pretty illustrations on each setting. The table plan was one of the cutest we’ve seen and featured a display of sweet vintage teapots. There’s also another nod to Sam’s job on the place settings. Did you spot another clue?
Another element that Leez Priory offers, which we both love, is the outdoor dance area. The setting is magical and helps make the first dance a really romantic moment.
We ended the day with some twilight shots which our couples always fall in love with. The impressive Tudor house made a perfect backdrop (helped only a little by some dramatic lighting by us!)
Thank you for taking the time to look at these photographs from Alice & Sam’s wedding at Leez Priory, we hope you have enjoyed viewing them as much as we enjoyed creating them. If you would like to discuss your wedding plans with us, please contact us here.
